The Missing Browser Tab Icon Nobody Notices — Except It Adds Up
This is a genuinely minor check — worth fixing because it costs nothing, not because it's costing you jobs.
Your audit checks for a favicon — the small icon shown in a browser tab, bookmark list, or mobile home-screen shortcut next to your site's name. This is one of the smaller items on the audit, and it's worth saying plainly: no favicon isn't losing you leads by itself. It's included because it's free, five minutes of work, and one more small signal that the site is actually finished.
Where it actually shows up
A browser tab with a dozen open sites is easier to navigate back to yours when there's a recognizable icon instead of a generic blank page symbol. It also shows up if a homeowner bookmarks your site or saves it to their phone's home screen — without a favicon, that shortcut just gets a generic gray icon instead of your logo.
The fix
Almost every website builder has a dedicated favicon upload field in site settings — usually just your existing logo, square-cropped, dropped into a small image field. There's rarely a good reason to leave this one unresolved once you know it's there.
